Megan Roth ∙ Illustrated by Dave Aikins

This Level 2 Step into Reading leveled reader features a story all about friendship based on Netflix’s animated preschool series Dr. Seuss’s Horton!

Horton and Samson hear you and they can help . . . especially because it’s friendship day in the Jungle of Nool! They are on a mission to help deliver mail for all their friends for a friendship day surprise. Follow along in this leveled reader based on an episode of  Netflix’s animated preschool show Dr. Seuss’s Horton!, based on the beloved Dr. Seuss character, Horton the Elephant. It’s perfect for Valetine’s Day or any day!

Step 2 readers use basic vocabulary and short sentences to tell simple stories. For children who recognize familiar words and can sound out new words with help.

Dave Aikins

Dave Aikins grew up in the suburbs of Detroit, immersed in comic books, action figures, and B-movies. In 1991, Dave was somehow persuaded to move to Ohio, studying at the Columbus College of Art & Design. After graduating in 1995, he spent four years working for a large newspaper and a commercial art studio. Now residing outside of Columbus, Ohio, with his wife, energetic son, and multiple cats and dogs, he is currently running Let’s Draw Studio, the freelance illustration company he founded in 1998.
