Badger loves to play music, and he decides that he needs somewhere other than the woods to do it. So he sets off in search of the perfect place. Will he find it?
In this energetic story, Badger LOVES playing music—and the louder, the better! But the other animals in the woods don’t quite feel the same way, so Badger sets out looking for a new place to jam. He tries taking a recorder class, but he soon discovers that he’d rather improvise than follow the music. And when he joins a marching band, his cowbell is too much to handle. Will Badger find the perfect place to grow his musical talent?
Heavy Metal Badger tells of Badger, who loves loud music and letting the "music inside him" out in a raucous manner. Unfortunately, his animal audience neighbors don’t appreciate his passion, so Badger begins seeking a quieter instrument to express his musical motives. Perhaps a recorder, or a cowbell? Unfortunately, the different instruments offer their own challenges to both learning and expression. How can Badger satisfy his heavy metal music inclinations when the rest of the world is less passionate about noise? Duncan Beedie’s whimsical, fun saga will appeal to any aspiring young musician searching for the perfect form of expression.—Midwest Book Review—Children’s Bookwatch
